How to explain a complex product simply
LifeNavigator website design and implementation: premium product presentation, store, guidance and a journey from first contact to purchase.
LifeNavigator is a quarterly planner brand in the personal development category. The website needed to help a demanding audience understand the product and how to use it without overwhelming them with information.
A new website from scratch
We designed and built the LifeNavigator website from scratch, combining the brand and product presentation, the store and guidance on how to use the planner.
The existing website did not meet the client’s quality expectations. We recommended a new build: we assessed that creating it on solid foundations would be more cost-effective than continuing to improve the previous solution. This decision allowed us to align the project with the target standard of the brand.
The scope combined information architecture, visual design, implementation and editorial work on the message.
Quality throughout the journey
The client was developing a premium product brand for a conscious, demanding audience. She needed a website that would communicate quality, attention to detail and a serious approach to building the brand from the very first contact.
Trust was particularly important for LifeNavigator. The product operates in the self-development category, where people compare many tools and promises. An underdeveloped presentation could create scepticism before a visitor had a chance to understand the planner’s actual value.
The hardest part was reconciling detail with simplicity and elegance. The communication had to provide enough information to assess the product consciously while remaining clear and well-proportioned. Every subsequent contact with the website had to maintain the credibility established at the beginning.
Different entry points
We designed the user journey around different entry points and different levels of familiarity with the product. Someone landing directly in the store needs the relevant arguments available there. Someone already ready to buy should be able to move forward without having to read the entire brand story.
Purchase early, details further down
That is why the route to ordering is available early, while the rest of the store lets visitors explore the planner’s contents, construction and way of use. Tabs provide details according to the visitor’s interest. This keeps extensive information available without burdening the whole view at once.
Less is more
The content required similar discipline. The client provided the direction and finished copy. Our role covered editing, feedback and recommendations on how to use it. We repeatedly pointed to a “less is more” approach: selecting the information that genuinely explains the product’s value and helps people make a decision.
We relied on experience, logic and the psychology of decision-making. We assessed the role of each element in the overall journey — from the first impression, through understanding the arguments, to choosing the offer. We guided the client through these decisions, helping to maintain a consistent standard throughout the project.
What to measure after launch
Without post-launch sales data, we do not attribute a business result to the website. Measurement should focus on three stages that show behaviour progressively closer to purchase.
### Visits to the store and product page
Transitions from the homepage, content and guidance to the store and product page show whether visitors reach the offer.
### Cart and checkout
Adding a product to the cart and starting checkout show how many visitors move beyond simply learning about the product.
### Purchases
Completed orders remain the proper sales metric and should be analysed separately from traffic and content interactions.

A consistent standard across the website
LifeNavigator received a website combining the presentation of a premium product, purchase arguments and support in using the planner. Individual parts address different visitor needs while maintaining a shared visual language and consistent communication.
The client appreciated the professional execution, attention to detail and the way we guided her through the project. The advisory role was also a value of the cooperation: helping with decisions and consistently safeguarding the quality of the entire implementation.
