00 / Starting situation

SPORTIVO develops a sports community and membership programme whose benefits include access to the Medicover Sport offer. The platform had to combine benefit presentation with registration, recurring payments and member administration, while staying within the budget that determined whether the venture could launch at all.

01 / SCOPE

From offer presentation to paid membership

We created the SPORTIVO platform, combining presentation of the Medicover Sport offer with member registration, recurring payments and an administrative back office. The website UX and system mechanisms were designed to work together, guiding users from interest in the offer to joining and paying for membership.

The scope included launching the platform and developing it further: automating billing, communications and the administration of a growing number of users.

02 / MAIN CHALLENGE

The budget determined whether the project could launch at all

Our proposal, around 40% lower than the competitors’ proposals, matched the maximum budget the client could allocate to the project at the time. Keeping the implementation cost within that limit was a condition for launching the venture. More expensive proposals were beyond the client’s financial capacity.

SPORTIVO’s model was built around the strong value of the Medicover Sport offer for members. Its attractiveness drew thousands of users. As interest grew, the platform had to support both efficient onboarding of new members and administration of their memberships with as little manual work as possible.

03 / EXPERTISE

UX and backend had to work as one process

We designed the UX of the Medicover Sport offer within SPORTIVO around a fast transition from understanding the benefits to making a purchase. Offer presentation, registration, package selection and payment formed one connected path. The system back office handled the following steps, connecting member data, payment status and access to benefits.

Automation also covered ongoing use of the platform: renewing membership fees and packages, retrying failed payments and sending notifications. The ability to manage subscriptions independently reduced the need to contact support for recurring matters.

As the platform scaled, we developed batch processing and message queues to spread workload over time. We also improved payment mechanisms and added safeguards against duplicate operations. The goal was to keep the platform operational with thousands of users while limiting the amount of work required to run it.

05 / RESULT

2 500 000 PLN in revenue and thousands of members without an additional service hire

SPORTIVO’s return on investment reached 4,600% in less than a year. The result was supported by the strong value of the member offer, UX that made purchasing easier, and an implementation cost that stayed within the client’s financial capacity.

Automation continued to support profitability after launch: despite serving thousands of members, the founder did not need to hire anyone to operate the platform. Limiting the fixed cost of ongoing administration increased the return on investment as the business scaled.
