PROGARAGE / WEBSITE MODERNISATION

Website upgrade for Google Ads ProGarage

React website improvements within the Google Ads optimization service

As part of the Ads and analytics engagement, we modernised ProGarage’s hosting setup, images, feature loading and contact handling at no additional charge.

Performance and visibility

00 / Starting situation

ProGarage is a car detailing studio whose website presents its work on vehicles and gives prospective clients a way to get in touch. The client approached us for Google Ads and analytics. The existing website needed adapting to new hosting and a reduction in the load from images and features while retaining its appearance.

01 / SCOPE

Google Ads, analytics and website modernisation

ProGarage approached us about Google Ads and analytics. As part of this engagement, we also carried out technical modernisation of the existing website at no additional charge to the client.

The scope covered adapting the website architecture to new hosting, our own image optimisation system, reducing website load, rebuilding form submission handling and improving contact options.

02 / MAIN CHALLENGE

Project photographs and website load

A detailing studio’s website needs to show the quality of work on cars. Project photographs are an important part of the offer, and their number and size affect the website’s load. With advertising traffic, the route from arriving on the website, through viewing the results, to sending an enquiry is particularly important.

We needed to reduce the amount of downloaded data and the work performed by the browser while preserving ProGarage’s visual character. At the same time, moving the website required adapting its functions to the capabilities of the new hosting.

03 / HOSTING AND ENQUIRIES

New hosting and enquiry handling

We changed how pages are generated and replaced mechanisms dependent on the previous environment. The form received new submission handling, data validation and protection against simple bots. We also organised enquiry messages so that replies could be sent directly to their authors.

04 / MAIN PHOTOGRAPH / 480 PX VARIANT

Media optimization

We built an automated image preparation process: 177 source files produced 469 variants, selected by the browser to suit the screen. The 480 px-wide version of the main photograph is around 68 kB, compared with a 1.26 MB source file. The system prepares images before publication and checks which need reprocessing.

05 / LESS DATA ON ENTRY

FCP optimization

We removed unused code elements and reduced the data downloaded on entry. Reviews load before visitors reach their section, while the form content loads on a signal of intent to open it, such as hovering over the button. The most important photograph received loading priority.

06 / TECHNICAL RESULT

The same appearance, modernised infrastructure

ProGarage received a website adapted to its new hosting, with automated preparation of lighter image variants, rebuilt enquiry handling and organised feature loading. The website retained its existing appearance, while the changes covered its technical infrastructure.
